Frangolho
Describes frangolho, a Madeiran porridge made from hand-milled barley or wheat flour.
A porridge made from barley or wheat flour. The barley and wheat intended for this porridge are ground in hand mills and the flour is sifted; when barley is used, however, the grain is lightly dried over the heat of the fire before it goes to the mill.
