Approximate location, from a feature named after it
Small Franciscan friary at Calheta, built from alms around 1670 on land bought by Pedro Bettencourt de Athouguia. It was the most modest convent in Madeira and housed the collegiate chapter from 1811 to 1815. Now extinct, it was later sold by the state into private hands; the chapel of Santa Apolónia belonged to it.
