The Ponta da Cruz quay, with an older part and a modern part built around 1910 by the local cannery owners.
It has an old part which is, we believe, the work of the Public Works Department (Direção das Obras Públicas), and a modern part built around 1910 on the orders of the owners of the cannery at Ponta da Cruz (‘point of the cross’).
