Former chapel of Nossa Senhora da Apresentação at Lombo da Apresentação, Ribeira Brava, founded in 1524 and later part of the Heredia entail.
In the locality (sítio) of Lombo da Apresentação (‘ridge of the Presentation’), in the parish (freguesia) of Ribeira Brava (‘wild river’), there was a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Presentation (Nossa Senhora da Apresentação). It was founded in 1524 by João Mendes de Brito and was later incorporated into the entailed house (casa vinculada) of the Heredia family, whose last representative was the Viscount of Ribeira Brava.
