Place sítio/locality São Pedro Funchal
Former quarter of captive Moors in Funchal, recalled by the Rua da Mouraria, which links Rua da Carreira to Largo de São Pedro. The street was renamed Rua do Dr. Sequeira in 1917 and later restored to its original name. It houses the former Carvalhal palace, with the municipal museum, archive and library.
