Ribeira do Porto da Cruz
A stream rising on the Pico da Suna, also called Ribeira da Igreja; the entry also lists the chief streams of Porto Santo.
It rises on Pico da Suna and is also called the Ribeira da Igreja (‘church’). The Ribeira do Tem-te-não-caias (‘hold on, don’t fall’) is better regarded as a continuation of the Ribeira do Porto da Cruz (‘harbour of the cross’) than as a tributary of it.
On Porto Santo (‘holy harbour’), the streams worth mentioning are the Ribeira da Vila, the brooks of Salgado and Cochino, and the Ribeira da Serra de Dentro and Ribeira da Serra de Fora.
