Our Lady of Miracles (chapels)

Two chapels of Our Lady of Miracles, in Monte (1661) and Ponta do Sol (1662).
In 1661 Brás de Freitas da Silva built a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora dos Milagres in the parish (freguesia) of Monte (‘hill’), on land belonging to his entailed estate (morgadio). The annotator of the Saudades mentions a chapel with the same patron saint, founded in 1662 by Pedro Ferreira de Mesquita in the parish of Ponta do Sol (‘point of the sun’).
