Short note praising the benefits of the Junta Nacional dos Lacticínios da Madeira to the district economy and referring readers to its bulletins.
In the article ‘Indústria dos Lacticínios’ (p. 149) we briefly mentioned the decrees that created the Junta Nacional dos Lacticínios da Madeira (National Dairy Board of Madeira) and laid down the rules for its operation. This would be a fitting occasion to give a detailed account of how that body has carried out the duties those decrees assigned to it, if the space and material now available to us allowed it. Nevertheless, it would be a flagrant injustice if we did not at least record here, however briefly, the undeniable benefits that the said credits have brought, through that Board, to the economy of the whole district. The subject has been treated with the most careful judgement, thorough knowledge and great love of truth in the valuable and in many respects interesting Boletins de Informação e Publicidade published by the Junta de Lacticínios da Madeira, which may be profitably consulted and to which we draw the attention of our farmers.
