A street in central Funchal named after João Esmeraldo, who had large residences there; it runs from Rua da Alfândega to Rua do Comércio.
The street takes its name from João Esmeraldo (see that entry), who had large dwelling houses there. It runs parallel to Rua do Sabão, with which it is connected by Travessa de Cristóvão Colombo, and extends from Rua da Alfândega to Rua do Comércio.
