A locality in the parish of Estreito da Calheta with a chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição built in 1673, once the seat of one of Madeira's largest entailed estates.

A locality (sítio) in the parish (freguesia) of Estreito da Calheta (‘the narrows of Calheta’), where there is a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception (Nossa Senhora da Conceição), built in 1673 by André de França e Andrade. It was the seat of one of the largest entailed estates in Madeira, and the last representative of this entailed house (casa vinculada) was Diogo de Ornelas de França Carvalhal Frasão Figueiroa, 11th Viscount and Count of Calçada (see that entry).
