Diogo de Ornelas de França Carvalhal Frazão Figueiroa (1812–1906), first Viscount and Count of Calçada, Madeiran entailed-estate holder and substitute civil governor of Funchal.

Diogo de Ornelas de França Carvalhal Frazão Figueiroa, 1st Viscount and 1st Count of Calçada (‘paved way’), came from old and noble families of this island and was born on 29 August 1812. He was administrator and holder of several entailed estates, among them that of Gaula and that of Conceição (‘Conception’) in Estreito da Calheta (‘the narrows of Calheta’). He was appointed substitute civil governor of Funchal by decree of 4 October 1882 and took office on the 10th of the same month and year, later serving several times when the incumbents were unable to act or absent. He died on 18 September 1906.
