Trigo vermelho

A durum wheat variety with a dense ear and downy glumes; also called trigo russo.

Ear 4½ to 7 cm long and 1½ to 2 cm wide, dense, usually somewhat flattened in profile; glumes downy; awns darker at the base. It is also called trigo russo.
