Monument in Funchal's Jardim Municipal commemorating the 1921 Lisbon–Funchal flight of Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral.

On 28 March 1921 the foundation stone was laid in the Jardim Municipal (‘municipal garden’) of the monument commemorating the flight from Lisbon to Funchal made by the illustrious aviators Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral. The formal inauguration took place on 11 May 1921. See Jardim Municipal (II-182).
