Inhabited locality in the parish of Ponta do Sol, home of the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Monte and formerly a chapel of São Caetano.
An inhabited locality (sítio) in the parish (freguesia) of Ponta do Sol (‘point of the sun’), where the chapel of Our Lady of the Mount (Nossa Senhora do Monte) stands. It was built by the people in 1751 and enlarged in 1775, and in June 1810 it suffered a serious act of desecration. There was once also a chapel dedicated to São Caetano (St Cajetan), built in 1780 by António de Carvalhal Esmeraldo e Alencastre.

- The chapel of Nossa Senhora do Monte at Lombo das Terças, Ponta do Sol, was built by local people, and licence to bless it was granted on 15 September 1751.
- The chapel of Nossa Senhora do Monte at Ponta do Sol was enlarged and blessed again.

- Thieves broke into the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Monte and stripped the image of its jewels; after acts of reparation the image was returned in solemn procession on 6 August.
