Prince Fernando, son of King Duarte, who inherited the lordship of the Madeira archipelago from his uncle Prince Henry in 1460.
He was the son of King Duarte and in 1460 inherited from his uncle, Prince Henry the Navigator, the lordship of the Madeira archipelago. He married his cousin Dona Beatriz, daughter of Prince John.
