Infante D. Fernando

Prince Fernando, son of King Duarte, who inherited the lordship of the Madeira archipelago and the mastership of the Order of Christ from his uncle Prince Henry in 1460. He regulated the division of irrigation water and granted land for Funchal's town hall. He was the father of King Manuel.
