The Ponta do Sol quay, begun 8 May 1848 and apparently finished in 1850 at the municipal council's expense.
Its construction began on 8 May 1848 and it appears to have been completed in 1850, the costs being borne by the Municipal Council (Câmara Municipal) of Ponta do Sol (‘point of the sun’).
