Praça de São João
A very old square in Funchal beside the Campo da Barca, demolished before 1860 and now part of the Praça de Tenerife.
It stood beside the Campo da Barca (‘boat field’), at the spot now called Larguinho de São João. It was demolished before 1860 and was already considered very old at the beginning of the 19th century. It is now incorporated into the Praça de Tenerife (‘Tenerife Square’).
