Two chapels dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Vida: one founded by Manuel Valente in 1679 in São Pedro parish, location unknown, and another founded by Inês Teixeira at Fajã do Mar.

In 1679 Manuel Valente founded a chantry (capela) dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Vida (Our Lady of Life) in the parish (freguesia) of São Pedro (‘St Peter’); we do not know where it stood. On a small rise overlooking the sea stands a chapel of the same dedication, founded by Inês Teixeira in a year unknown to us. It is in the locality (sítio) of Fajã do Mar (‘flat by the sea’).
