An inhabited locality (sítio) in the parish (freguesia) of Arco da Calheta (‘arc of Calheta’). Here, on a small rise overlooking the sea, stands the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Vida (Our Lady of Life), founded in 1663 by Inez Teixeira and rebuilt a few years ago.
