Lists the main headlands of the Desertas group: Ponta de Santa Maria, Castanheira, Pedregal and Ponta das Agulhas.
The largest headlands on the coast of the Desertas (‘deserted islands’) group are Ponta de Santa Maria, on the western shore of Ilhéu Chão (Flat Islet); those of Castanheira and Pedregal, on the west coast of Deserta Grande; and Ponta das Agulhas, at the southern tip of Bugio (see those entries).
