Barros Gomes (Henrique de)

Director of the Bank of Portugal who stayed in Funchal in 1878 following the bankruptcy of the bank's local agent.

He stayed in Funchal from 8 July to 2 September 1878 as Director of the Bank of Portugal, following the bankruptcy of João José Rodrigues Leitão, the bank’s agent on this island. (See Banks.)
