Inhabited locality in the parish of Boaventura. It had a chapel of Sant'Ana founded in 1768 and demolished after 1840, and later a chapel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, begun in 1918 and dating from 1919.

  1. António Francisco de Caires founded the hermitage of Sant'Ana at Fajã do Penedo, Boaventura, endowing it by deed of 20 April 1768.
