The Chapel of Our Lady of Loreto, at Lombada do Loreto in Arco da Calheta, was founded by Pedro Gonçalves da Câmara, son of the second captain-donatary, and was reportedly built in 1510. It later became the seat of an entailed estate and was the centre of an annual pilgrimage.
