Água de Pena is a parish between Santa Cruz and Machico, divided between the two municipalities, whose Porto do Seixo was visited by Zarco's discoverers in 1419. It was suppressed in 1836 and restored in 1848, is irrigated by the Juncal levada, and contains Bemposta, Cardais and Queimada.
