Cachudo

Description of Cachudo, synonym of Babosa, a high-yielding but inferior grape resembling Boal, grown in São Martinho and Santo António.

Very similar to the Boal da Madeira in the shape of its leaves and in other characters; it differs from it only in having bunches that are generally longer and narrower, and berries that are less firm and less flavoursome. It is a synonym of babosa. It produces a great deal of wine, but of inferior quality. Grown in São Martinho and Santo António.
