Silveira (António da)

Captain of Diu and fifth captain-donatary of Machico, who sold the captaincy in 1549 to the Count of Vimioso.

He was captain of Diu and the 5th donatary of the captaincy of Machico, having succeeded Diogo Teixeira, who died without issue. In 1549 he sold the captaincy to Dom Afonso de Portugal, Count of Vimioso.
