Sargo (Sargus rondeletii)

The white seabream (Sargus rondeletii), a common sparid fish in the archipelago, caught by net and line but little valued as food.

A fish of the family Sparidae, common in the waters of the archipelago, which is caught by net, by line and by rod. Because it eagerly eats the faecal matter it finds, it is little recommended as a food fish. It has a shellfish-like flavour.
