The grey triggerfish (Balistes capriscus), found inshore to about 30 fathoms; called peixe-burro on Porto Santo, where peixe-porco means the sunfish.
A sclerodermous fish found between the shore and a depth of about 30 braças. It is caught with a line, with the briqueira (a Madeiran hand line for bottom fishing) or with the agulheira (mid-water line for garfish).
