A small street in Funchal near the Santa Luzia stream, named after members of the Monteiro family who lived there.
This is a short street that runs from Rua da Cadeia Velha, opposite the end of Rua dos Medinas, to Rua 31 de Janeiro, on the left bank of the Ribeira de Santa Luzia (‘St Lucy’). It is almost parallel to Rua do Phelps. Some members of the old Monteiro family lived there and gave the little street its name.
