A small Madeiran clingfish of the intertidal zone, notable for its ventral sucking disc.
A small Madeiran fish of the family Gobiesocidae, common in the intertidal zone under the loose, smooth stones that the sea leaves uncovered. It is interesting for its form, which, among other peculiarities, includes a ventral disc shaped like a sucker that allows it to cling to the rounded pebbles of the shore. It has no use whatsoever.
