A locality in Santo António parish, Funchal, site of the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Quietação (1670) and seat of the Alecrins entail founded in 1577.
A locality (sítio) in the parish (freguesia) of Santo António in Funchal, where there once stood the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Quietação (Our Lady of Quietude), built in 1670 by Lourenço de Matos Coutinho. He made it the seat of the Alecrins (‘rosemary bushes’) entailed estate (morgadio), instituted in 1577. Today Dr Rui Betencourt da Câmara is the representative of this entailed house (casa vinculada).
