Note on the title of administrador geral given to district governors by the 1837 administrative reform, listing the holders in the Funchal district.
In 1837 António de Gamboa e Lis was civil governor of Funchal, when an administrative reform gave the governors of the districts the title of Administrators General (Administradores Gerais). After António de Gamboa e Lis, the administrators general of this district were the Baron of Lordelo and Dr Domingos Olavo Correia de Azevedo.
