Abreu (Aleixo de)
Aleixo de Abreu de Melo, doctor of medicine and physician to Philip III of Spain.
Aleixo de Abreu, or Aleixo de Abreu de Melo, was the grandson of the preceding and the son of António de Abreu. All we know of him is that he was a doctor of medicine and that he was summoned to the court of Spain to hold the important post of physician to Philip III.
