Main article Lambert (Quinta) The Quinta Lambert, or Quinta das Angústias, in Funchal was a celebrated estate whose house and chapel hosted royal visitors, including Queen Adelaide, the Duke of Leuchtenberg and the Empress Amélia of Brazil, whose daughter Princess Maria Amélia died there in 1853. The estate was bought by Dr Júlio Paulo de Freitas in 1903.

The Quinta Lambert, or Quinta das Angústias, was a celebrated estate in Funchal whose house and chapel hosted royal visitors, including Queen Adelaide, the Duke of Leuchtenberg and the Empress Amélia of Brazil.
