Angra do Heroísmo is an Azorean city, port and district on Terceira. It was the birthplace of António Cordeiro, where the Almanach para os Açores e Madeira was published in 1873, and where Nicolau Anastácio de Bettencourt governed for twelve years and died; it also gave its name to Stuart's title of marquis.
