Aguiar (Pedro Afonso)

He was the son of Diogo Afonso de Aguiar and the brother of Rui de Aguiar. He distinguished himself greatly as a soldier and sailor. He went to India as the captain of a ship and witnessed the capture of Grancanar. He accompanied the Duke of Bragança on the expedition to Azamor, where he showed great heroism.
