Pato Marreco

The duck known by this name in Madeira is the Anas boschas, a domestic bird very common in Madeira and Porto Santo, but which sometimes arrives in the archipelago, belonging in this case to the group of wild ducks. Its meat is highly appreciated, but its eggs are less tasty than those of the chicken.
