Trevina (Lotus glaucus)

A perennial leguminous plant with glaucous trifoliate leaves and yellow flowers, growing on coastal ground in Madeira, Porto Santo and the Desertas; a good fodder plant.

A perennial papilionaceous legume with trifoliate, glaucous leaves, leaf-like stipules and yellow or reddish-yellow flowers. It grows on coastal ground and is a good fodder plant. It is also found on Porto Santo (‘holy harbour’) and the Desertas (‘deserted islands’).
