The chapel of São Tiago in Canhas, one of the oldest in the diocese, reputedly sited by João Gonçalves Zargo and seat of the parish created around 1577.
The chapel of São Tiago in the parish (freguesia) of Canhas is one of the oldest in the diocese and, according to Gaspar Frutuoso, it was João Gonçalves Zarco himself who planned it and chose the spot where it was to be built.
