João Saldanha da Gama (1674–1754) was Governor and Captain-General of Madeira from 1715 and later a distinguished Viceroy of India.

He was appointed Governor and Captain-General (capitão-general, military governor of Madeira) of this archipelago on 4 May 1715 and took office on 27 June following. He was born in 1674 and died in 1754.
