Of this Madeiran we know only that he was a surgeon at the Hospital of St Elizabeth of Portugal (Santa Isabel) in this city and that he wrote and published a pamphlet with the following title: Narração cirúrgica de hum carbunculo maligno que com facilidade se curou na cara..., Lisbon, 1760, 31 pp.
