A locality in the serra of Faial where a forestry officer set up a small nursery of native trees, which failed after his transfer.
A locality in the uplands (serra) of Faial, where the former forestry officer (regente silvícola) Júlio Carlos Etur set up a small nursery of native forest trees. The Funchal Municipal Council leased the land intended for the nursery for 6,000 réis (old Portuguese money of account; 1$000 = 1,000 réis, 1:000$000 = one conto = 1,000,000 réis) a year, but the nursery never produced results, because the said forestry officer was transferred to the mainland.
