Short entry on Padre Luís de Morais, a Madeiran-born Jesuit who died in 1622 and wrote a sermon on the beatification of St Francis Xavier.
Diogo Barbosa Machado states that Father Luís de Morais, a Jesuit, was a native of this island and that he died in 1622. He wrote the Pregaçam da Beatificação de São Francisco Xavier, which is included in the Relação das Festas, published in 1621.
