Menezesia

Fungus genus named by C. Torrend after an author of the Elucidário, with one species found at Monte in 1913.

A genus of Protomycetaceae (fungi) dedicated by the distinguished French mycologist the Revd C. Torrend to one of the authors of this Elucidário. For the present it comprises a single species, Menezesia setulosa, found in September 1913 in the parish (freguesia) of Monte (‘hill’), on decaying branches of Hedera Helix. It was published on p. 175 of vol. XI of Broteria (botanical section).
