Paul Langerhans was a German physician and naturalist who studied the worms of Madeira and wrote a short handbook on the island.
He studied the worms of Madeira in the Zeitschrift für wissenschaftliche Zoologie (1879–84) and wrote a small book entitled Handbuch fur Madeira (Berlin, 1884).
