Godman (Frederic du Cane)
British author of a Natural History of the Azores (1870), which included a list of mosses of Madeira, the Canaries and the Azores useful to students of Madeiran flora.
In his book entitled Natural History of the Asores (London, 1870), he published a list, compiled by W. Mitten, of the mosses of Madeira, the Canary Islands and the Azores, together with a work by Hewett Cottrell Watson on Azorean botany, which contains some observations that may be of use to those who study the flora of our archipelago.
