Stream rising at Picos da Silva and da Relva, dividing Estreito da Calheta and Prazeres parishes.
It rises at the Picos da Silva and da Relva and separates the parishes of Estreito da Calheta (‘the narrows of Calheta’) and Prazeres (‘joys’). Its tributary is the Mendes brook.
