Clairouin (Hector)

A French teacher of French in Funchal from 1857 until his death in 1882, author of a French grammar.

He was born in France and came to Funchal in 1857, where for many years he taught French, and he died here on 20 November 1882. Works: Methodo Michaelense para o ensino da lingua francesa, Funchal, 1861. There is a second edition of this work entitled O Nec Plus Ultra das Grammaticas Methodicas para o ensino da Lingua Francesa, Lisbon, 1874.
