Calaça

Calaça is a surname of early settlers, especially on Porto Santo, also found in the Quinta do Calaça.

It is the surname of some of the first settlers of this archipelago, especially on Porto Santo (‘holy harbour’). West of the Ribeiro Seco (‘dry brook’) and close to the sea there is a property, with land and buildings, called Quinta do Calaça (‘Calaça’s estate’).
